Cynthia Horner, MD, FAAFP
Chief Medical Officer, Amwell
Cynthia Horner, MD, FAAFP, is the Chief Medical Officer and President of Amwell Medical Group, where she leads thousands of clinicians delivering virtual care across Amwell’s global platform. She oversees all AMG programs, including virtual primary care, acute care, behavioral health, women’s health, nutrition, lactation, and emerging hybrid and value-based care models.
Dr. Horner drives the design of clinically grounded, technology-enabled solutions that improve quality outcomes, reduce operational friction, and ensure regulatory compliance through close collaboration with Amwell’s product, engineering, client, and partner teams. A recognized subject matter expert in digital transformation in healthcare, she is a frequent speaker on the evolution of virtual care, clinical innovation, and the future of digitally enabled delivery models.
A course contributor for the American Board of Telehealth, Dr. Horner previously spent two decades practicing family medicine. She earned her B.A. in History from Duke University and her M.D. from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine.
Abner Mason
Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer, GroundGame. Health
Abner Mason is the Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer for GroundGame.Health. Abner has spent decades working to reduce barriers to care faced by underserved people nationally and internationally, from the local to the federal level. He currently sits as a Commissioner for the National Commission on Climate and Workforce Health and is co-chair of the Commission’s Public Policy Work Group; is on the board of Manifest MedEx; serves as Vice Chair of the board for California Black Health Network; is a member of United States of Care’s Founders Council; and is a member of the American Medical Association’s External Equity and Innovation Advisory Group. Abner founded HealthTech 4 Medicaid and SameSky Health.
Maulik Majmudar, MD
Chief Medical Officer, Biofourmis
Dr. Maulik Majmudar is a cardiologist and Chief Medical Officer and Co-Founder at Biofourmis, a rapidly growing home-based care delivery company. Prior to joining Biofourmis, he was a Medical Officer at Amazon, responsible for the development and launch of Amazon Halo, Amazon’s first health and wellness focused membership service. Dr. Majmudar was also Associate Director of the Healthcare Transformation Lab at Massachusetts General Hospital, and an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School, where he was responsible for the identification, validation, and implementation of digital health solutions to improve care delivery as well as the patient and provider experience.
Dr. Majmudar attended Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and then completed residency training in Internal Medicine at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, followed by a cardiovascular medicine fellowship at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He also holds several patents and has had publications in high-impact journals, such as Nature, Circulation, JAMA, and Journal of Healthcare Delivery and Implementation Science.
Thomas Tsang, MD
Chief Medical Officer, Omada Health
Dr. Thomas Tsang is Chief Medical Officer at Omada Health, a virtual care company offering digital programs for managing and preventing chronic diseases like pre-diabetes, diabetes, hypertension, and musculoskeletal (MSK) issues. He leads the clinical organization while advancing quality, outcomes, strategy and innovation across Omada's multi-condition products and services.
He was the founding CEO of Valera Health, a venture-backed company delivering specialty mental health care and raised over $75M in financing while delivering over 1 million visits in 5 years. Earlier in public service, he worked on the Affordable Care Act with the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee as a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation/Institute of Medicine Health Policy Fellow, and later as Medical Director at the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT, helping shape ACO regulations and the national framework for EHR-enabled care coordination. Dr. Tsang served on the New York City Board of Health under Mayor Bloomberg and currently sits on the boards of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City and the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).

Lucy Pérez
Senior Partner, and Coleader, McKinsey Health Institute, Boston
Lucy Pérez is a Senior Partner in McKinsey & Company’s Boston office, Global Leader of the McKinsey Health Institute, and a leader of the Life Sciences practice. She advises CEOs and teams at leading organizations globally on growth strategy, innovation, sustainability, and organizational transformation. Lucy is especially passionate about leveraging advancements in science and technology to transform patient care delivery and health outcomes. A former cancer researcher at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, she brings a strong technical background to her work with organizations across the healthcare sector. Lucy also co-leads McKinsey’s Hispanic and Latino Network for colleagues who identify as Hispanic, Latino, or allies, and sponsors research on Latino economic mobility.
At the McKinsey Health Institute, Lucy spearheads efforts to advance health equity, including a collaboration with the World Economic Forum on the $1 trillion health and economic opportunity to close the women’s health gap. This seminal research has reached millions, received a Presidential Award from the American Medical Women’s Association, and is driving action among stakeholders across the globe.
Beyond her work at McKinsey, Lucy is a board member of MassBio and the Massachusetts Business Roundtable, and sits on the advisory board for the Aspen Institute’s Latinos in Society program and the Women’s Health Innovation Summit. Lucy was elected one of Amplify LatinX’s inaugural LatinX 100 Leaders and named one of ALPFA’s 50 Most Powerful Latinas in 2023. She was awarded the Pinnacle Award by the Boston Chamber of Commerce in 2024, which recognizes women leaders who are changing Greater Boston through leadership excellence in entrepreneurship, management and lifetime achievement.
